Changing between lengths should be done prior to deployment as it requires use of the special wrench included in the kit.

The size of the mirror was specially selected to balance the need for greater visibility and manoeuvrability. When choosing a search mirror, it is important to be aware that the larger a mirror is, the more difficult it is to move and turn. The 30cm mirror coupled with the low ground clearance of the wheels work to maximise visibility while minimising restriction on movement.
