	High Levels of Slash Protection The Turtleskin Alpha Slash & Needle Resistant Gloves offer a high level a cut and slash resistance by incorporating Turtleskin’s patented material. This material lines the entire palm of the glove as well as the back of the fingertips. These areas are certified to the ANSI A3 Cut and L3 Abrasion Resistance Level. The neoprene and spandex shell also offers a lower level of slash protection along the back of the band.
	Needle Protection The Turtleskin Alpha Slash & Needle Resistant Gloves offers some level on needle protection along the palm and fingertips. This protection is used for the purpose of searching bags and storage where the possibility of hypodermic needles being present is a risk. The protected areas are certified to both ANSI and ASTM standards. More information on this can be found in the specifications section below.
	Highly Flexible One of the primary complaints about protective gloves are that they restrict movement and make manual tasks more difficult. The Turtleskin Alpha was designed specifically with this in mind and as such is far more flexible than more commonly available options. The outer shell is soft and comfortable with the Turtleskin material layer along the palm being thin enough so that it does not get in the way.
	Insulated for Use in Cold Weather The Turtleskin Alpha Slash & Needle Resistant Gloves are the warmer alternative to the Turtleskin Beta, its’ summer use cousin. The Neoprene/Spandex shell and internal padding insulates the wearer against the elements. Despite this, the glove itself still feels surprisingly thin and does not reduce dexterity.
	Designed for US Police and Corrections The Turtleskin Alpha Slash & Needle Resistant Gloves were designed especially for use by Police Forces and Prison Corrections Services in the USA. The requirements of these organizations remain incredibly high given the extreme levels of danger that their officers face on a regular basis.
	ANSI & ASTM Certified The Turtleskin Alpha Slash & Needle Resistant Gloves have been thoroughly tested has achieved a variety of certifications. These include those from the American National Standards Institute as well as the American Society for Testing and Materials. Further, it also conforms to European Standards CE EN388 for Abrasion, Cut, Tear and Puncture.
