The Motorola R7 NKP Digital Handheld Radio is a rugged, professional digital portable two-way radio designed to provide clear, dependable communications in demanding working environments. As a No Keypad (NKP) model, the R7 has a simplified design without a display or keypad, providing straightforward push-to-talk operation while retaining the rugged construction and advanced audio processing of the MOTOTRBO R7 platform.
Digital and Analogue Operation Motorola Radio
This Motorola Radio is built on the MOTOTRBO digital radio platform, with the R7 NKP supporting both analogue and digital operation. This makes it suitable for organisations that need to maintain compatibility with existing radio systems while benefiting from the advantages of digital communications. The UHF version operates across the 400–527 MHz frequency range and provides up to 4 W of high-power output, with support for up to 64 channels.
Advanced Audio Processing
The Motorola R7 NKP Digital Handheld Radio is designed to provide loud and intelligible communications, even where background noise can make radio conversations difficult. Its advanced audio processing includes AI-trained noise suppression, adaptive dual-microphone noise cancellation, automatic acoustic feedback suppression, received audio levelling and intelligent audio. The radio also features a wideband speaker and microphones, while programmable loudness can reach up to 107 phons in Extra Loud Mode. Audio output is rated at 1 W, with a maximum output of 3 W.
