	Industry Leading Walkthrough Metal Detector Garrett Walkthrough Metal Detectors, like their handheld models, are among the most widely used metal detection devices in the world. The PD6500i is Garrett’s top of the line model and comes with a whole host of features including targeted detection zones, up to 200 sensitivity levels, selectable programs and more. Sometimes called a knife arch, metal detector door or doorway, they are a common site at airports, prisons and events around the world.
	33 Targeted Detection Zones The Garrett PD6500i Walkthrough Metal Detector is an advancement on traditional walkthrough metal detector doors which used a binary pass fail mechanism. The P6500i uses LEDs built into the device’s frame to notify the operator where the mass of metal is on the target’s body. This feature drastically speeds up searches which is essential in high traffic environments such as airports and exhibition centres. There are 33 zones that can be used to determine where the metal is on the target’s body.
	Adjustable Highly Sensitive Scanner The Garrett PD6500i Walkthrough Metal Detector has a very large number of distinct sensitivities that can be cycled through. They allow operators the ability to target specific sizes of metal associated with specific weapons or contraband. This allows you to filter out non-target items such as coins and screws. Alternatively, it can be set to pick up smaller pieces should you wish.
	Adjustable Alarms The Garrett PD6500i Walkthrough Metal Detector has adjustable alarms in order to help it fit its surrounding environment. Alarm volume can be set to correspond to the detection size giving the operator ample warning of what to expect when escalating the search.
	Tamper Resistance Features The Garrett PD6500i Walkthrough Metal Detector uses two levels of access codes to protect all of its settings. This prevents unauthorised access and is further secured by a cabinet lock which restricts access to cables, connectors and electronics.
	Wide 30” Doorway The Garrett PD6500i Walkthrough Metal Detector is a large device with its height reaching well over 2 metres high and just shy of a metre wide. 	Built-in Traffic Counter This Garrett walkthrough metal detector has a built in traffic counter which eliminates the need of hand tally counters used by security staff if the venue is capacity restricted. They tally is prominently displayed and can be checked at any time.
	IP55 Rated The Garrett PD6500i is IP55 rated which means that it can be subjected to light rain should it occur but its always best to cover the device from above to protect the electronics inside. An IP65 model is available at an additional cost, call us on 01722 444 806 if this is required.

	Fast 30 Minute Assembly This walkthrough metal detector doorway is easy to build and should take less than 30 minutes. There are only 4 primary components and limited additional parts to worry about which makes life easy.
	Mains Powered The Garrett PD6500i is a mains powered metal detector door and requires a wired connection to a power source. While back up batteries are available (sold separately), they are focused on contingencies rather than being used as a primary power source.
